Long before AM Artistry existed, there was the pre-teen version of me experimenting with lip glosses, eyeshadows, and whatever products I could get my hands on. I was the friend who offered to do everyone’s prom makeup in high school; the one who could turn a palette into a bonding moment. My family always said I was destined to become a makeup artist, and while I took a different path at first, the universe clearly had its plans.

Makeup wasn’t just a hobby; it was a form of expression, a creative outlet, and a way to make people feel beautiful. Even back then, I didn’t fully understand that this passion would one day evolve into a career rooted in artistry, trust, and emotional connection.

How Customer Service Became the Foundation of My Makeup Artistry

Before stepping fully into the beauty world, I spent over 10 years working in customer service. It taught me so much more than solving problems or answering questions; it taught me how to connect with people.

I learned how to listen, how to create a calming presence in stressful situations, and how to make someone feel comfortable within seconds. Those skills carried directly into my work as a makeup artist. No matter the makeup look, the person in my chair comes first.
